Ghost Car

Punk rock/riot grrl quartet intertwined with tub-thumping, glam rock riffs having a touch of The B52s, with Farfisa organ and theremin, their Knight Rider synths fighting against chunky guitar and drum thrashing mixed with infectious high-pitched vocals sitting somewhere between Clare Grogan and Poly Styrene, Ghost Car are formed of Maria, Clara, Laura and Maeve, hailing from Spain, England and Ireland. They are set to release their debut album this year.

Bradley’s

“There’s the little Spanish bar behind Tottenham Court Road, it’s really cool, called Bradley’s. It’s tiny but cosy and fun, eclectic decor. Get anything on draft and pick some tunes on their jukebox!” – Ghost Car

Crobar

“When you’re looking for a dive bar after midnight in central London, it can sometimes be quite hard to find the right vibe. We love this one for some old school metal/rock n roll with a jukebox and local metalheads. Always packed!” -Ghost Car

Bar Italia

“It’s probably the oldest and most authentic Italian Coffee house with the best cappuccinos and custard tarts. Good for celeb spotting if you’re into that.” -Ghost Car

Rough Trade East

“Our favorite local record store has to be Rough Trade East on Brick Lane. Such an iconic store, you can spend hours in there. Also such a dreamy part of London to have a walk round after you’ve bought tonnes of good music.” -Ghost Car

Gökyüzü

“Gökyüzü in Manor House (where we went after a heavy day of recording at Hermitage Studios up the road, hangover included) has an amazing atmosphere near Finsbury Park. Delicious food and great service. Go for the Mezze platter if there’s a crowd of you, perfect for sharing after a heavy night.” -Ghost Car
