Joven Dolores is the new project of David Serra and Joan Barbé. The tandem joins the rhythmic Frederic Torres on bass and Joan Carles Marí on drums to give life to JOVEN DOLORES, a different take on the national scene in Castilian with songs that move and with an overwhelming direct as a guarantee. With the rock of the 21st century as the backdrop, their first album is full of references to the world they have had to live in, especially talking about positive thinking, human relations and the importance of women and their situation today. Hence the name of the band (women and also the mythical ship that sailed the Ibiza-Formentera route for 30 years since 1965). Songs like Tocarte or Optimista placed their first album Galopa los días (self-produced, 2019) in the Top 15 of the best sellers in iTunes in its first week of launch, and they carefully worked with the ambition of promoting it both in Spain and in Latin America. The band is in the composition phase of the songs that will form their second album, still without a title and with a publication scheduled for 2020.

Either way, you have to catch a gig there, have a couple tapas and a couple beers. It’s a great place to show support for the local music scene and the local businesses.” – Morning Drivers
