SkyRock was formed on the 5th of December in 2017. It didn’t take much time for the band to be named among the top bands in the Maldivian music industry. The band includes Mira, one of the best female vocalists in Maldives, as well as Inan on bass, Faffu on vocals/guitars, Zayaan on guitars, Hussain on keys/saxaphone, and Faizan on drums/percussions. Their first single “Samugaa” was released in 2018, hitting almost 200k on SoundCloud in less than a year. The song will be featured on “Continent Tapes” released in January 2020 by famous German record label Skap Records, making it one of the first Maldivian songs ever featured on an international album.
