“Some of my favorite Hard Rock memorabilia includes the Bette Midler mermaid costumes – which are a centerpiece that any home could use – any and all of the beach boys gear, and the Allman brothers tribute (I think my aunt might have gone to homecoming with one of them). But in complete honesty, I just one day want one of my bathing suits to be hanging up next to Taylor Swift’s.”
“My city gave me the most comprehensive musical test I could have asked for as a performer. There are tons of venues itching for live music, locals that want to be entertained all year long, a decently tight-knit music community to be a part of, bikers who tip you to STOP playing during bike week, the list goes on and on… and I genuinely have my city to thank for my love of performing music.”
“I usually make it a point to ride my bike up to the Oyster Pub at least one time while I’m home, and living in California makes it difficult to find Yuengling anywhere, so when in Daytona it’s Yuengling time.” – Alex Kinsey
“Oyster Pub–always have sports on, even late night and great staff, food and drinks.” – Dallas Reese
“The food and house band equals the ambience of the ocean that is only steps off the patio of the restaurant.” – Trae Pierce & the T-Stones
“I think Ocean Deck might also take the cake for live music. Make sure you catch C* Posse while you’re in town.” – Dallas Reese
“Midnight!?! i’m usually asleep by 11… but Ocean Deck is always a good late night hang.” – Alex Kinsey
“Pats River Front Cafe hands down. Its not just the coffee or the food (although both are great), the staff is the nicest in town and everything about that place IS Daytona.” – Alex Kinsey
“There is no other beach in the world like Daytona Beach.” – Trae Pierce & the T-Stones
“Oh mannn…. the eggplant parmesan sub from Stavros on beach street is basically perfect.” – Alex Kinsey
“Yuengling is my go-to while home.” – Alex Kinsey
“My cousin LOVES swamp ape if you’re into IPAs.” – Alex Kinsey
“DJs Deck. The fried fish sandwich. They also have one of the best views of any restaurant in Daytona (especially around sunset). They have the best tartar sauce I’ve ever tasted (other than the tartar sauce my uncle Steve makes). You can watch the fish that they serve you be brought in from the boats they caught it on… Thats my little hidden gem.” – Alex Kinsey
