Van Avakian is a self taught musician that has been performing and creating music since the early age of 13. His first instrument was the drums and he was invited to perform in a classic rock band with musicians much older than he was. After his career started growing he played for musicians like Doug Wimbish, Eric Gales and even Lauryn Hill. Now Van does performances as a one man band. He has taught himself to sing, play guitar, bass and keyboards and using those skills he does groovy loops with tasteful chords and funky beats.
