The Ranch People

The Ranch People Band is Puerto Vallarta’s first country band. They play classic hits by many artists such as Alan Jackson (Chattahoochee), Willie Nelson (On The Road Again), Big & Rich (Save A Horse), Garth Brooks (Friends in low places) and many more. The band consists of four musicians. On lead guitar and vocals is Cristian Melendez from Puerto Vallarta. Cristian has had much success with his own band, The Sunset Raiders. On bass is Roy Grooveman from Mexico City. Roy has played with The Sunset Raiders and The Crazzy Boys. On violin is Angel Balcazar from Puerto Vallarta. On drums is Fredy Gomez from Guadalajara. Fredy formed the band in 2019 and has over 30 years of experience in the industry. Fredy has played on several occasions with world renowned artists such as Rico Rodriguez (Trombone) of The Specials(England) and contributed to the recordings of The Wailers Band. This band was Bob Marley’s support band and toured Mexico. Fredy has played with the Japanese saxophonist, Akira Tatsumi and guitarist Alberto Tarin among others. The Ranch People have performed at many venues such as Kelly’s Pour Favor, Toca Madera, Revolucion Restaurant, Green Tomate, The Chili Cook-Off and many more.
